If you were ever wondering how the left gets their agitators/protestors, look no further especially if you want to get hired:
Donald Trump may have a point about paid protesters: Job ads running in more than 20 cities offer $2,500 per month for agitators to demonstrate at this week’s presidential inauguration events.
Demand Protest, a San Francisco company that bills itself as the “largest private grassroots support organization in the United States,” posted identical ads Jan. 12 in multiple cities on Backpage.com seeking “operatives.”

Yeah, grassroots my ass.

What about all those
paid tea party agitators who distrupted scores of town hall meetings in 2009 when the ACA was being debated?

this has been debunked as fake already, so was the Tea Party claim, as I recall. There IS proof, however, that many of the folks applauding the Orange Buffoon when he announced his candidate were hired via the actors union in NYC.

do we really have to explain how this sort of bogus disinformation plan works? You take out the local ads in the cheapest paper in 20 major cities. You pay, maybe 200 bucks. Knowing the ad is there, likely linking to either a dead number or a public number of a political adversary, you run the story as news and circulate amongst those both partisan enough or stupid enough not to bother finding out the truth. Note that NOT ONE SINGLE REAL NEWS OUTLET anywhere in the world confirms or even suggests this story.
Oh, and protests? There are currently 4 times as many buses hired to bring in protestors on Saturday, than reserved to attend the Inauguration Friday. Good. A message needs be sent, and will be, peacefully. I'm sure you'll see both agitators within the crowds, and trying to sabotage from without. It will be a glorious, American mess, I'll bet. But,no one is being paid, unless you wish to count folks like the 20 women from Indiana I paid busfare for, because they couldn't afford it. Current expected crowd size has swelled to over 3/4 million minimum.

Where is it fake news? If you posted something from the Washington Post, you would accept it as gospel. As I suspect tho, everything against the left you will pose as fake news, and throw in funny cartoons to help deflect.

the 'news' was created by the very people who are 'reporting' it. Proof is that NO ONE else is picking the story up, and don't give me the idiotic notion that they are all in collusion. See Fox running with this? No. That alone should speak volumes as they run with this sort of thing a lot. Where, by the way, did the ad that was posted request 'thugs'. Or, are you starting your setup of portraying the million or so folks coming to protest, 4 times as many as the most hopeful inaugural turnout projection, are mere 'thugs', to be dismissed?

...and, in so doing, be about as accurate as Clinton was. The 'thugs' I know are a bunch of middle aged women and their daughters from around the east, and midwest.

After searching, you're right about most of them being regular crazy protestors, although the
party itself was directly created from an infusion of money coming from FreedomWorks and Americans for Prosperity, aka the Koch Brothers and from Fox News cranking up as a national propaganda machine to feed the rage. Between all those entities, the tea party had wads of cash to throw around. I guess you could count the RNC supplying the professionally made signs
some these protestors carried at their rallies as a sort of
paid assistance. However, I do have this one
known example of actual paid tea party actors. So the idea is not total fiction.
http://reverbpress.com/politics/wonkery ... s-protest/
Alas, you're also forgetting that the tea party is nothing than a fake astroturf organization created by lobbyists and big money interests who tapped into some nascent rage, and in some cases outright racism, of regular white working class people in order to get their fat cat butts installed into positions of power in Washington. Suckers. So now the King Teabagger, Trump, has filled the swamp with monsters, the very people who've stolen the American Dream from anyone who's not filthy rich. You've all been HAD.

in the interest of integrity, I can't say I'd personally put anymore stock in Alternet than I would in Breitbart, but I think the core component of the Tea Party was a very loosely affiliated group of sort of Libertarian leaning types, with a smattering of flat-out bigots, who just were oversold on the absolutes of 'less government'. Were they marshalled along the way by those who saw gains to be made from them, money to be made off them(lots) and a way to advance a completely separate agenda? I think so, but never really cared enough to pursue the nuts and bolts.

slick at least is aware of that set of facts, but there was a movement that formed BEFORE those folks got involved. Another part of the equation was the smaller, less ideological types who have made an absolute fortune playing to the anger of the truly stupid. Face it, the same morons who fork over the rent money to some evangelist are pretty ripe for money to overpay for a shirt mocking Obama or travel packages to 'rallies'.
