...falling all over themselves to appease and bow to an unreformed and antithetical ideology to everything progressive?

All the argumentative skills of a 4-year-old. No wonder you love Trump!

Why would I need to comment on something that's blatantly true? [Deleted - Personal shot]

Woody’s statement was more of an observation than an argument.

I think the word you're groping for is 'deflection', Spidey.

I picture a musical number, to the tune of 'Can Do' from Guys and Dolls here. But, then again, it's late, and I'm tired.

Well, given the fact those who come here, either by legal immigration or refugee status are moderates who far outweigh the radicals and hardliners, I don't think it's a case of 'bending over backwards to appease them'.

"I don't want to spend time talking about Islam"
*spends time talking about Islam*
What I never seem to see in these types of talks is an inspection of the western world's responsibility for the rise of Islamic extremism. We've defined their borders. We've controlled their politics. We've created a state of constant war lasting decades.
And then we say "they hate us for our freedoms."
We cry out for some sort of reformation of Islam, yet we won't stop contributing to an environment that makes it impossible.

Good one Vander. You hit the nail on the head. And since Americans tend to be arrogant and consider themselves blameless in all of this, the problem will only get worse.
