With civil asset forfeiture, police can seize cash, vehicles and even homes, provided only that the property is suspected of being used in a crime. Often, no charges or convictions are required.

This is one area that I hope is addressed in all 50 states. Seizing your property without real evidence of a crime is nothing less than theft.

it always seems as if the courts uphold this, and it seems blatantly contrary to personal property law, even on some convictions, and when you throw in mere suspicion or even indictment without conviction, you seem to have a serious due process issue..
