Anyplace I can go to check out ups shipping rates?
Just won bid on camera and guy wants 30.00 for shipping. Seems high but maybe he has insurance include?

Or cafe? UPS does ship stuff other than electronics.

30.00 is outrageous. it's a common tactic though, people try to rape you on shipping. i doubt it's any more than $12.00 insured.

yes he is overcharging you. unless the rate was stated in the auction, you can complain.

Did he have the shipping price listed on the auction, or did he just say "buyer pays shipping"? If he didn't explicitly spell out that he'd charge you $30, tell him that you went to the above website and tell him how much they said it would be. If he's not willing to play nice, use the old "negative feedback" trick...

Thanks guys. I just noticed way down on the bottom of the bid sheet that shipping was 29.95. I'll still send him a email as to why. Just bought a seat for my scooter which is 10x larger than the camera and that was only 13.60.

If it's on the bid sheet (and it was there before you bid) it's up to you to pay it. I doubt he'll let you negotiate...
