Why is it deflection? And it may of been Maxine I was thinking about in the other thread. After all they kinda sound alike and look alike.

Comey says there's a Clinton investigation, Democrats hate him, Republicans love him. Comey says there isn't enough evidence to indict, Democrats love him, Republicans hate him. Comey says "wait, more emails!" Democrats hate him, Republicans love him. Comey says "just kidding," Democrats still kinda hate him, Republicans still kinda love him. Comey says there's a Trump investigation, Democrats love him, Republicans hate him.

It's like it's a game of musical chairs. Now that the music has stopped, we point at the one without a chair and yell hypocrite, as if we didn't just watch everyone spend time in front of that empty spot.

Here are two things that can be simultaneously be true: Comey acted inappropriatedly last year, and should've been sacked. Comey shouldn't have been sacked for ramping up the Trump/Russia investigation.

And Trump was for Comey during the campaign when Comey was publicly raking Hillary over the coals and then he was against Comey when he learned he was the one being investigated by the FBI. See, that's how it works. The FBI is not supposed to be anyone's or any president's lap dog.

And to the original thread, I do agree with NS's assertion that Water's is just another political hypocrite. It's part of belonging to any tribe. Defend your guy no matter what, even if you look like an idiot, a hypocrite or you're just plain dead wrong. I can't defend her for being wishy-washy and patently unprincipled.

Hypocrisy is not an impeachable offense. That's up to her constituents if they want to voter her out of office or not. If she was in my district, I'd vote against her the next time she ran.
