Or at least it should be. This is the bacterium e-coli, growing, mutating and then advancing into a succession of more and more concentrated sections of antibiotics on a very large petri dish. We're doomed.

Nice to see that they're purposefully pushing bugs to mutate and survive as superbugs even faster than they are now.

It's no different than doctors giving out antibiotics like candy whenever some mother brings in their sick kid and wants him or her "cured" no matter what or when a farmer constantly doses his cattle with antibiotics as a "preventative" measure. At least the e-coli in that petri dish can easily be destroyed with bleach. That's not so easy of a task when that same "evolution" happens within the human body. That petri dish experiment shows us that we're now in trouble when it comes to trying to control harmful bacteria.

I don’t think that video is scary, it’s just a demonstration of what we have known for a long time.

You mean the thought of an antibiotic resistant super strain of e-coli running rampant through your body and the docs have no drugs that will stop it doesn't scare you? How about antibiotic resistant MRSA?

You DO have to imagine that bug residing inside your body doing what it's doing on the petri dish....
