Flash missiles

Are flash missiles from robots in D2 supposed to blind you 100% with a single hit, for about two seconds? They do for me in Dos, at least at Hotshot or above, but not in all source ports. I'm wondering if DosBOX might have an issue handling flash missile hits or if Dos is doing it right.

That is probably intended behavior, though I don't know if the original builds of Descent 2 had the same brightness bug with flash missiles that shows up in D2X.

What brightness bug? Dos blinds you 100% for about 2 seconds with single hit while Rebirth caps at about 85% blinding (these are both results on Hotshot). Which is the correct behavior based on the original D2 exe?

DOS is the original D2 EXE, so where Rebirth differs in any substantial way, it can be assumed to be incorrect.

Usually not if it's not homing. (At least in Trainee/Rookie)
