This is amazing. I am really liking the tone. Sure to be another hit by Paralla ... Revival!
It feels like "Descent 4" is finally here. Ahhh, what a relief! And such a great rebirth of the genre. Yes!

Downloaded the demo this morning, feels good! I'm willing to call it D4. Took them long enough!
Ship feels a little...odd to the touch. Probably some ramping tweaking and I'll be fine.

I'm really amazed at pretty much everything in this game: how well it steers with the mouse, how balanced and interesting all the weapons are, the graphics, the power-ups, everything is pretty much spot on and optimal. Really smart people must have headed this project, 's what I'm feeling.

Soundtrack's available on Steam now if anybody is interested.
Maybe a little bit odd to release it early but I... may have asked them to at some point.

I'm refusing to listen until I've played the campaign.
That's like hearing the entire soundtrack to a movie before you've seen it. It takes you out of the moment.
Pretty awesome to hear Jerry Berlongieri again, though!

Is SP campaign good enough? I mean, compared to original Descent? Hope it is not MP-oriented as some other Descent projects are...
One thing I don't quite like about the graphics are those firework like explosions, but that's a minor thing anyway if it plays right otherwise and has interesting and long SP campaign.

Single player is single player man, with a story, voice acting and all. What made you think it would be a multiplayer-focused experience (kinda like Quake 3 Arena, I'm assuming?).
Oh, and it plays real well. Better than Descent in fact - it reacts better to mouse controls and its pace is much more dynamic, all the weapons feel strong and useful too. The game is great and it would suck to miss it I think

Ok, sounds great! Going to download and try it myself, no more questions until then... Although it won't run on my old laptop I believe, need another machine with good video card. Was hesitant to download any demos because I don't like the first impression to be spoiled by smth half baked, but now it seems to be the right time to give it a try.
Would be interesting to hear more detailed impressions of the levels any time, or see recorded videos of the gameplay, though. But first have to wait untill the actual release date, of course...

Singleplayer we have so far is kinda like a cross between the Vertigo Series and the Entropy sets. Basically what you'd expect from a Descent game made by Luke.

Played the demo some more this morning. Got the ramping worked out. God, I'm home...I've missed this place. <3

Woot, I didn't realize this game was so close to releasing... I just happened to be looking up Underground/Overload today by happenstance... and it'll have multiplayer! Not sure I recognize any names in this thread but I was MOB-Sythe back in the D3 days, hope I see some familiar faces in Overload .

So how many people are playing this game during peak hours?
I don't like the look of the ship. The graphics for the afterburner could be improved. The textures could use a bit more detail as well. I suppose I could play in first-person mode and pretend I'm in a ship that has wings.

The level editor released last week. Time to see what I can do.
Edit: Not off to a good start! It doesn't want to run!
Edit 2: The moment I say that...
