Cognitive Dissonance: It can’t possibly be me

In a world filled with self-appointed political analysts and theorists it’s hard to admit you are wrong. Well, according to the theory of cognitive dissonance it may be how we get through the day without second guessing ourselves into the looney bin. Ever heard of “confirmation bias”? Do you have the bias blind spot? These fall under the umbrella of cognitive dissonance theory.

Brainiac Sean Carroll has a new podcast I’ve been digging and this is the first conversation. I thought it was really interesting if you have the time. Because it could NEVER be me.

[Deleted - Personal Shot]

Wait, Adam makes a condescending post targeted toward us and MY post gets deleted? Something's not right here. :P

You should give it a listen, Neo. Carol Tavris isn’t pointing fingers at anything other than human nature - theory, anyway. It’s a rollicking grand ole time to apply it to the dbb e&c you deleted personal shot. 💋

It was a personal insult directed towards TheWhat Burlyman, so if you want to comment, comment on the post. Krom is the admin God, so he can do anything here he wants. If Krom wants me to leave the personal name calling intact, I'll leave it be. TopGun is usually the one to get something deleted, so you're not a special target. Foil even axed an insult I made towards Woodchip when he was mod. But I'm betting if Krom allowed personal insults, the E&C devolve into nothing but a name calling trollfest. Of course, then there wouldn't be need moderators, would there?

Well, that's original. Can't delete that one. It would be superfluous.

I don't care what you call Krom, he's still a troll. :P I don't listen to anything you say, Adam.

I also have a really cool YouTube link for pepper steak in a wok. You can smash and tenderize with a cleaver to release stress.

Wow. I know I've got a one track mind about Trump, but she just described our orange peel president in all his narcissistic psychopathic glory. :P

Everything Trump THINKS he knows all about, needs to have the rule of opposites applied, because he knows absolutely NOTHING about everything he just touted about himself in that video. The clincher is that Mr. Supreme Draft Dodger thinks he knows all about veterans. Dr. Durvasula needs to add bombastic to narcissistic psychopath and she'd win the trifecta.

A bunch of Deep Throats for Woodward to choose from this time around and he got those insiders to give him a vast treasure trove of craziness about the goings on in the White House. What a clusterf*ck of a president.
