What's the real scoop on her? Is she qualified enough for the job because the internet is knocking her hard.

Of course the internet is knocking her hard.
because A) she's a woman, and B) she's Puerto Rican. Two things idiotic right-wingers hate.

It really depends on what job you're talking about. If the job is just
representative of a fairly leftish local political constituency in the House, the actual job she was elected to do but hasn't started yet, I don't see why she's not completely qualified. If the job is a
vocal leader in a progressive movement to reshape the national political landscape, a job she has claimed and already started, I think the jury is still out, but early signs show she might prove capable. Nobody knew her name a few months ago, and now she's the face of a progressive movement before she even takes her seat in the House. She's a lightning rod. Whether or not she's qualified will be determined by her ability absorb that energy, and then to convert it into political pressure and legislative wins.

Not just a progressive, but (double freak out in TBland horrors!!!!) a Democratic Socialist.
I admire her for her ability to get into a scrum with the worse of those in right wing smear land and come out with nary a wrinkle. Remember, Trump got elected with far less cred to his name other than he was a crappy empty-headed TV personality who only got where he was by hanging onto his daddy's coattails and using people purely as tools for his own enrichment. It'll be interesting to watch where she goes and how well she does in the middle of our current no-holds-barred political scene.

At least she's got more smarts than this conservative airhead who almost became our VP a few long years ago.

Barack Obama was the same way. Everyone in Chicago knew who he was for years, but then suddenly around the mid 2000's his name exploded all over national headlines. I like this girl Ocasio-Cortez. Maybe she'll be the first Democratic presidential candidate I'll vote for?

Well if you all are enamored of someone who didn't know the 3 branches of goyt., and wants to do the free money to all two step then by all means vote for her. Don't be surprised if she emulates Maduro and tries to drive the country into penury.

Geez woody, better check the smarts of a few political figures belonging your own party as well, not including Rick Perry.

And Trump, who wants to run the government like a dictator, is a few screws short in the brain department as well.

So which is important, not knowing the three branches of government? Or not
understanding what top three functions of our the entire government are, AS IT'S LEADER?

Plus, Trump is inspiring a whole new generation of white nationalists, even in other countries.

The last one with any scruples and principles, at least from the Republican Party, just died.

Even then he was a very mixed bag, albeit far superior by comparison to the current dregs.
