I had a dream tonight that I had found my old copy of Descent 3 and got it working on my PC, and even played the first two levels again, and was excited to play the third. When I woke up, at first I was convinced it was true, until I realized it wasn't.

The subconscious mind can be a real jerk. I've had dreams both Chow Chows and Zebra Finches were back.

Too bad someone hasn't modded that one like D2X-XL or Rebirth to work on modern computers. It would be sexy. I still have my disk copies sitting on a closet shelf and no computer available to launch or run it either. I have the disk copies of another old game, Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow. Due to the way they did the lighting method in the game, it won't run right on a modern computer either.

I have Descent dreams every now and then, but never solo play.

I keep an old Win 7 desktop around just for playing D3.
Hop in the BOZ server a few times a week, and occasionally have a human or two join.
Nosferatu/Areon and I were blasting each other for a while last night.
Once in a while I go back through the single player levels.

I have D3 working on Win 11. Just need computability mode. I simply copy the install folder from PC to PC
