You downloaded the installer and ran it, and it's still saying that there's an update available? (I haven't downloaded it, since it's just an 0.0.1 release and I can't tell what's changed, and it's a hassle to download and install again.

Did you reboot? (stupid as it may seem, it just might remind FF that the update is actually installed...)

If you use "easyGestures" extension - then DO NOT download or install any 0.9.x or 0.9 version.
easyGestures is broken in 0.9 - so stick with 0.8.
Starting to piss me off this lack of compatibility between extenesions and releases!! FIX THE THING MOZILLA GEEKS!

Mobi,
You're a dope. Firefox 0.9 introduced a completely new extension management system. The reason your EasyGestures don't work is because the author didn't port them over to the new system. I can guarentee you that the author knew about the change long before 0.9 was released.
Quit yer whining...

I just now switched to Firefox, so I've got a question for you veteran users.
On the start menu I keep my favorits folder for quick access. I set Firefox as my default browser, so when I use these start menu shortcuts it will launch them. However, every time I use one, IE also tries to launch and I gt a few error boxes.
First one says that it "Can not find URLofSite(or one of it's componeents). Make sure the path and filename are correct, etc"
Directly after that one comes this one "The object c:\documents and settings\user\desktop\LinkName.url reffers to is moved or is inaccesable".
Any way to fix this? I don't keep my favorites in that folder, so I'm not sure WTF it's talking about.

Bind FireFox to .url in file types.
Open any explorer window (note: I'm not referring to internet explorer here), click the Tools menu and select Folder Options. Click the File Types tab and scroll down to URL. Go into the properties for it and change the default launching program from IE to FireFox by pointing it to the FireFox executable. Then just click OK. You're done.

mobi have you tried the "show old extentions" extention?
it works with spiderzilla anyway (all i used it for).
