If you remember, Afghanistan was a quagmire, just like Vietnam. Our military kept saying stay and we just need more troops to get control. Uh huh. That worked well in Vietnam as we've seen, so why would it magically work in Afghanistan? The truth is, the Russians couldn't contain or control that place and neither could we. We were throwing our young kid's lives and taxpayer dollars away on another guerrilla war we could never hope to win. Americans wanted out and Biden wanted out, despite what our military wanted.

But the truth is, Trump set things up for failure in his rush to "make a deal". That May 1st deadline he set was just too soon to be practical and he didn't leave enough military resources for the U.S. to stay, promised the moon to a bunch of damn untrustworthy terrorists and didn't include the Afghan government or miltary in his little deal. Trump made a deal with the devil and sold out our country. When that deadline came and went, the Taliban went ballistic, thinking we were going back on "The Trump Deal". Trump made a deal that was going to go sideways no matter how you look at it or try to fix it. Biden was following what the American people wanted, get out of Afghanistan. Since Trump and your party can't take some personal responsibility for this massive clusterfuck, go fly a kite off a cliff.
