This month marks thirty years since the full release of Interplay's/Parallax Software's Descent. The U.K. release was on 3 March 1995, and the U.S. release was on 17 March 1995.
A
Reddit post last year shows the game devs then and now.
Celebrate!

A few years later, Koolbear and Sup founded DescentBB. Surprisingly this forum, Warpcore, PootersMan, and the Descent Rangers are still around until this day.

Well I just aged another 30 years...
Descent was one of my first gaming passions and my first home online. I owe it so much. On the sites where my doofy teenage account name is already taken, I still throw a "PD" on the front for good old PlanetDescent.

What's funny is I posted that very picture on the Overload Discord server today, and the chat blew up with all sorts of retro discussions. Nostalgia overload.

I should join a community Discord server or two. I never got around to it after the Overload Kickstarter. (Never actually played much of Overload either, for that matter... >_>)

Every now and then, players from the old days of Kali, Heat, and PXO will all of a sudden show up.
BTW Krom. It seems like everyone loves you over there.

Your name pops up once in a while when asking where you're at.
