I found the best use ever for junk mail: the "From" field. I've started putting together a list of names I've found in junk mail I get. So, need a name? Look no further
It's the only good use of spam.

Lol guys, I'm perfectly fine with my girl situation here. I've had three recently ask me out that I've turned down (one *still* wants to go out), though the one I would go out with doesn't want to go out with me (though I'm working on her, and getting somewhere
). But ultimately I think I like the single life better anyways... anybody who's been to parties can vouch for that.
Yay I feel so much.... better? Now that I've.... explained myself?
Now go read your frikkin junk mail

No, it's not at all. I had 4 IM conversations going at the same time, all "pseudo" hitting on me, but never asking right out. And yes, it's never the girl you want that persists on it, it's always the one you like as a friend or really don't like at all.

Since when does IM count for anything?
Hehe, its always the ugly girls that chase you- at least only the ugly ones chased me.

cute girls chase after me, but i am often oblivious. Often is actually an understatement, i am always oblivious.
i know this i'll run into cute girl that i knew from "x" years ago and she'll often say something along the lines of "oh wow, nice to see you! man, i had a really big crush on you a while ago.. but now i dont! BAI!"

That's a shame. That's why you need to follow the 3 second rule.

A joke. A bad one. I'm sad no one got it.
I will explain:
See, I wrote "I run into girls"
Scratch wrote: "that's why you should follow the 3 second rule."
The 3 second rule is also a rule while driving on the highway, where you have to stay 3 seconds behind the person in front of you. Or maybe its 5 seconds. This is why I don't drive.
From here, I wrote that I had to pay damages [to my car for having run into some chick].
Get it?
[yes i know its bad]

Either them, or the slutty ones. Hell, after I broke up with my first GF, the chick that started chasing after me was one of those that....well, lets just say she spread like peanut butter. Now before any of you say anything, keep in mind that I had no access to any rubbers, and she never used them. Needless to say, nothing happened there. (Theres no telling if she had anything or not, and I wasn't about to play with fire if you catch my drift.)

That wasn't exactly the 3 second rule I had in mind. The one you mentioned, I actually didn't think about... oh well. The 3 second rule I'm referring to is a good rule to follow.

i don't know the 3 second rule. in fact, i don't know all the little tactics people use to "score" women. i just walk down the street and they introduce themselves to me... i can't be the pursuer, that would require effort.

Lothar wrote:snoopy wrote:Since when does IM count for anything?

I guess I should have explained that alot better. When I was a young lad in high school, I would talk to girls on IM because I was too scared to talk to them in person and/or ask them out. Therefore, just making the statement that you talking to 4 girls at the same time, and that they where hitting on you over IM doesn't mean that anything will become of it IRL- in fact I think it generally indicates that it won't happen IRL. I have developed a number of close, meaningful relationships over IM, but none where romantic in nature. I know that internet initiated/based relationships have happened in the past- but I think cases such as Lothar and Drak's are the exception, not the rule.
As for women chasing me- usually if they where good people and/or good looking I was totally oblivious to the fact that they liked me until way after. If they where aggresive enough for me to realize, they where also generally trouble. I have this strange habit of trying to make any girl that shows signs of liking me stop doing so, if I didn't like her first- I unconsciously do it without even realizing that they like me sometimes.

A lot of guys report being a chick magnet when they have a girlfriend, but then can't get any when they're single. It's the attitude projected. When you have a girlfriend, (hopefully) you are not trying to pick up chicks and maybe you are a tad flirty but you treat everyone much more the same. Single guys that strike out often show their hand much too readily that they're desperate. Since there's a lot of desperate men out there (been there!!) most girls are really turned off by you and consider you to be a little disengenous (he'd pay attention to anything with a vagina!).
as the cops observes, while making yourself publicly available but not obstrusively obvious, you make your chances better. Hanging out with a decent looking female friend who thinks you're a good guy is always a huge bonus. I have one friend who was the source of all female interest for about 5 months. We'd go out somewhere, she'd see someone she knew and give me a glowing introduction. Not everyone may have this ace in the hole (neither do I she moved) but lordy you must have a female friend to just walk around with. It's the easy OK for many women; a friend connection.
Just make friends with a decent looking girl with a lot of social connections. You'd be surprised how easy they are to find, there are a shitload of busy body attention freaks, and they're introduce you to all your friends. Since most good looking girls get hit on by so many random men, many just rely on friend group approval of males.

ahh, cops i've already got that goin' to an extent.
but the whole apathetic thing doesn't suit me, i'm inherently the more the overcaffinated "where'd i leave my straightjacket?" kinda person. which scares the more frigid people to death (so ★■◆● em!).

If only that were true all the time. It's much easier to turn someone off when you already have a girlfriend. But when you're single, it complicates it 10 fold.
Your other piece of advice is very true though.

Alot of times knowing that you have a girlfriend will make women go after you more/want you more - people want what they can't have.
