I'm all for mercy killings, as long as it goes through some kind of legislation before hand. The above link was quite a sad case and i reckon the judge was spot on with the verdict and sentencing.

Three cheers. It's definitely a very sad tale but from what I read the judge seems to have delivered justice tempered with mercy.

Good heavens, is there a judge anywhere that would have sent that gentleman to jail? Shame on anyone that would.
