gamsurge.net unreachable ?

Is it just me or did the MX records for gamesurge break ? Can't reach it.. (normaly the ip address is in the [ ] below)

gamesurge has been timing out and doing netsplits for me.. whereas shadowfire.org has been nothing but stellar.

I use irc.descentforum.net #descent and irc.shadowfire.org #descent

Suncho & Kurupt: try quitting mIRC (or whatever you use), run "ipconfig /flushdns" and try again..

Done and it still works. Maybe the server you're connecting to is having issues. Try connecting to a different server.

i had problems as well. then suicide eddie walked me through it. the gamesurge chat is actually "descent3"

Sometimes I am able to connect to a gamesurge-server but then I can't access to one of the lobbies (tried with or without "#"). That is exactly the problem I was talking about a few weeks earlier...

dunno what to tell you bro, its not gamesurge. there are no shortage of people in the rooms i idle in and chat in. hasn't been down at all.

It's a problem w/ the DNS system -- the info in my 1st post is the whois information of irc.gamesurge.net. At the time recovering it there was no IP linked to that DNS entry hence the "server not found" errors. (still isn't, check
this (give it some time)).
Anyway, my question is answered, it's not only me
Could someone in Cali call the guys and let them know that something is fishy w/ their DNS entries (most likely the MX record) ?

I have trouble connecting to the Shadowfire server all the time, but I've never had any problems with Gamesurge.

Yes, if you click the link in my last post it now resolves to 216.218.206.41 .. Hope that's permanent..

hmm, for some reason, I can't call up the server I added in mIRC. it's not in the list.
Also, Sunch dot com is giving me an unknown host error.
What gives?

It should be at the very bottom of the "IRC Network" dropdown list.
