I was just talking to some people on MSN when I had the urge to check what was cooking on Descent. Turned out someone was playing Twilight! So I immediately logged off MSN (no goodbyes), and got on as fast as possible so that I wouldn't miss the guy. Well, I made it in time to play him.

Well, I first started off by saying, "Would you like to see the ship first?" since the ships are modified to glow. He said it would be alright, so we met upstairs as I call it, and he was impressed.

After that, we started off. This was the first time I didn't think of playing the level as a testing session so I really got to experience the level like everyone else.

I started realizing that the level was extremely scary with one on one. You couldn't tell if they were about on top of you until you actually heard something or in some cases, saw something. Seeing a glowing ship come out of the shadows is really cool to see.

Later on, another person got on. I was glad people were getting on (especially at 3 AM CST). So we had a threeway fight in Twilight. Again, it was freakin' scary. Having that much suspense before you find someone is crazy.

But soon everyone said their goodbyes and I was left there thinking, "I made a pretty crazy level."

That ship is from the level. I think the BP looks the coolest but there are pretty close.

The avatar is actually a screenshot I took in D3 Edit. When I was in the process of modifying the ship, I took the orf version of it and put it at a good angle in front of a pink background. I took the shot then did some picture editing, and uploaded it.

I think you will like it in multiplayer.

I tried it out in sp just to get a feel, but noone ever plays it, so i never actually played the lev online. sweet concept tho! People need to put down Stadium, Halcyon, and SD down for a while and play the less used levels, i was in teh 4d flagger server for about 10 min yesterday, but noone showed. Thats the problem with the descent community, noone plays anyhing new, its always the same 5 levels over and over again.

Right on! We need to set up times with servers to change the games around and then have scheduled times to go.

I got Twilight played by having a game night for it and I asked everyone if they would like to try it.

Oh well...

Where can I get that level WITHOUTH going onto www.planetdescent.com. That site doesn't work for me anymore. (I don't know why.)

I just recently tried it - was only myself and another pilot, was great great fun. Might be different with a bunch of players in there, but is pretty intense one on one, for sure. I'll definitely be playing it in the future....

Yeah, it's a great level. Very tense. You can't use the afterburner because it would light up the whole level and it's too noisy. And every once in awhile you'll go into one of the rooms and notice a powerup missing.....Thats the point where you turn your rear view mirror on just in case

In short, I haven't had that much fun since pyromania first came out.

Guess I made a successful first level.

But I think it is quite something when you make a level and you even get a surprise on how the gameplay is. I didn't expect it to be so suspenseful.
