Help!!!
Twice now, once on level 3 and now on level 4 as I near the end of the level the game locks/freezes on me. When it happened on level 3, I left the game, and restarted the computer and then went back to a previous saved game, and was able to finish the level. But now it is happening again on level 4, and again as I near the end of the level. Iâ??m wondering if it is a game bug or something wrong with my hardware?
Any suggestions extremely welcomed.

disable music. to do this, in the D3 launcher, click SETUP, then click the MISC tab and enter -nomusic in the command line area. Then try it.

Afraid not!
Game still locks. I'm assuming you meant the line where it said united states? I deleted that and entered nonmusic. But I still got background music in the game. :?

No, if you follow the instructions above, you will notice a blank area in the MISC tab that says "command line options"

You enter in "-nointro -nomusic -framecap 0 -nooutragelogo" in there without the quotes

Sorry Merlin! Maybe Iâ??m being dense, but regarding the tech., aspect of these computers Iâ??m a bit of a duffer.
Iâ??m in the Set Up menu â?? Misc.
Down at the bottom thereâ??s a write-in-space under the caption:
Optional D3 Command line Switches, wherein I entered
â??-nointro-nomusic-framecap0-nooutragelogoâ?

remember to put spaces between the commands like this

-nointro -nomusic etc, notice the space after intro?

You are entering them in the correct place.

Also, did you patch the game to version 1.4? If not, goto www.planetdescent.com and d/l the 1.4 patch.

Sorry Merlin no-go!
This time there was no intro-logo-music. Also I tried to go back to a previously saved game, and it ran longer, but still locked up. I have the 1.4 version patched.
Iâ??m using an AMD K7 processor 553 MHz with 128 MB RAM and an Nvidia TNT 2 3D card, so I should have the machine power to play the game. Got another suggestion I could try???

Only other thing I can suggest is to re-install D3.

Uninstall D3
Reinstall it
run it once
patch to 1.4
run again

Guess you're right.
Better then playing a buggy game!!! :x
You say run it once? You mean, after the installation, start game then shut it down and patch it, and then start playing again?
Anyhow thanks for giving it a try. :)

Yeah, start it once so it knows what version it is before patching.

yah, you cant patch before running it one time, so it writes the registry value of the version number.
