It's a .223. I actually purchased it for my 13 year old daughter who won't let me shoot my own rifles. We go to the field and she begs me to shoot.. It doesn't leave me much shooting time between waiting for her and letting the barrel cool.
This should solve my problem.

For those of you who can't read between the lines, it's really an excuse to buy another rifle. I can sell the idea to my wife by telling her it's for our daughter.

Straight aloe is supposed to be great for sunburns. You can buy a bottle of it at a health/vitamin store (GNC, here).

A brillo-pad, VERY hot salt water shower and alcohol does wonders.
