Does anyone else notice that the Automatic Updates dialog has a new, SP2-style UI? No, I haven't installed any previews of SP2, but I did recently install whatever updates Windows had downloaded. Is this in preparation for the SP2 rollout?

Same look for a long time ( http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp ). try http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp for a different look.. :)

Edit: n/m -- M$ took it down..

No, I'm talking about the Automatic Updates applet that pops up a balloon in the tray when Windows has downloaded new updates.

the real question is, when did it happen.

I guess after I visited V5 of WU.

But if you go to windowsupdate then it would still get updated... or perhaps Microsoft's hackers used all their backdoors to get into your PC and update the automatic updates application then checked to see if you have ever tried to install linux on your x-box!
