What will I need for LCD Picture Frame?

If I have an old dead laptop - what will I need in terms of PC parts to create an "LCD Picture Frame"?

The idea is to take a dead laptop - strip the LCD out of it, build an interface to stream images from a server via WIFI PCMCIA card directly to the screen.

Presumably I need a network interface, a video driver etc.

OR - do I need a TV tuner, a video driver and a box attached to the server which transmits RF TV signals at PAL resolution?

I'm quite keen to build one as a project!
