I can see that my site has been indexed countless times by various search tools but every time I go to one of them and try and find my site it doesn't show up.

If they aren't going to work for me maybe I should block them.

i suspect you didnt type in the keywords that the engine wanted to see...

i have a site that has come up 3rd on google...but only if you type in the right keywords..

maybe?

The easiest way to see if your site is indexed (at least on Google) is to type in your full URL into the search field. BTW, it normally takes a couple of weeks after you first see a Google bot for your site to be listed.
