Registry edit "Slave" ?

I have a friends HD that won't start because of viruses on his computer but I can see it as a "slave" on mine.

I am going to run anti-virus software but some of the viruses may need a registry tweak or two.

Can I get to the Regristry of the "slave"?

The registry is stored in a bunch of "hives" usually in "C:\WINDOWS\system32\config".

However, if you scan the harddisk for viruses and remove them, then the registry keys shouldn't affect anything and can be removed on the next boot up.

I found 38 viruses healed 26 and moved 12 to the "vault".

I'm running the scan again and then will see if it will run as the "primary".

Thanks for the post.

Use the online scanner here too, catches what others miss usually.
