Hi guys. Just wondering if any of you that have organized LAN parties can offer any advice. We've found a great venue for ChicagoLAN, but the power requirements are pretty astounding. Lets assume, for conversations sake, that we're gonna fire up 70 puters in our room. If my calculations are correct, that means we'll need approx 350 amps of power. I know the outlets in this room wont cover it. So how is this normally dealt with? Generator? Some sort of subpanel patched into the main lugs coming into the main breaker box for the room? What have your experiences been?
