SETI client on PowerBook G4/OS-X

WHOA! Loaded the OS-X SETI client onto my Titanium PowerBook G4 yesterday and left it running all night. Normally this lappy just sits there completely inactive 99.9% of the time (I only use it to check appearance of web sites in IE on the Mac!)
So, I decided to make it work for its spot on my desk, which contains:
1 x 3COM IP telephone
1 x standard POTS phone
1 x 1-800 handsfree/wireless phone
2 x 19" Viewsonics on the P4 workstation
1 x Powerbook G4
1 x Canoscan LIDE scanner.
1 x Casio FX-9600 Scientific Calculator.
I still have room for multiple other crap also.
Anyway, this a.m. I arrived at work and was quite keen to see how the G4 compared in WU processing time compared to the P4 2.0GHz. Pretty slow as it turns out!
However, I was typing away on the G4 KB and felt all this warm air! So I rip the KB off the thing (only held on by two little doo-hicky clip things) and feel the heat-pipe cooled CPU and chipset.
WHOA! I'm surprised the office didn't burn down over night! The CPU/chipset cooler is so hot it actually feels dangerous. Hehe. I was a bit concerned at first, and wondered whether I shouldbe running a laptop core at 100% for 99% of the time - but now I figure; WTF?
Just clocked over 26,000 hours of core time in SETI too. Shame it's a complete waste of time. Us looking for radio waves is like American Indians trying to intercept telegrapg signals by looking for smoke signals on the horizon. *sigh*
