Descent in Parkinson's mode.....

I have a couple of problems going on.

1) in d1x143_oglmw.exe, my moving on any axis with my stick results in jerking and stuttering. I've tried a ton of things but nothings helped.

2) In D3 or d1 in some cases my pict will freeze for half a second ever 4 or 5 seconds on consistant intervels. Could this be a caching cycle on my vid card? It's really annoying in multi.

Is your hard drive making any noise? I had this problem a long time ago, but my virtual memory was variable in size then. Make sure you have the min and max set to the same value.

I have the exact same problem in d1x as duper. Ive tried both the Gl and non GL versions of 1.43, and Its the same in both.

Stats:
AMD XP2700
MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR motherboard
1GB Pc-2700 RAM in dual channel mode
nVidia GF4 ti4600
Saitek Cyborg Evo, but I get the same problem if I use my Nyko Airflo. Havnt tried with my Pre2, but someone else has had this problem with one I believe.

IRQ's shared?

Doubt it, this is something that just started about month ago.

I'm thinking that it may have been a driver install at least where D3 is concerned.
The stik thing with D1 is different.

Does XP allow shared IRQ's? Never having to mess with it, I've never checked into it.

i had this exact same problem at CHILAN, i fixed it by thouroughly checking and cleaning out any dust buildup and reseated/reattached all my devices.

hehe .. nope.. I clean my machine every 3 months. I have cats. :P

I found the problem. It was the new"ish" Saitek HID driver set. Even after I uninstalled them, there was ..er .. IS registry crap all over the place. I'll need to write to Saiteks Customer Support for a reg cleaner. They sent me something like this once before.

Right now, I'm using an old 3D Pro. This fixed both problems. Testi, this is one of those problems i was having in Indika the other night. :
Thanks eveyone for the input.

oh, btw, I would clean out the Reg myself only there are items that I couldn't delete. Time to take this to a "higher power".

I had this problem (stick lame in d1) even without saitek drivers installed. I would be using my 3dpro, but this computer has no functional gameport. My stick works perfectly in d3.
