Seems we will be getting a soup dejour of solar matter. I will be curious to see what it contains. Even more interesting is the use of hollywood stunt fliers to retrieve the sample as it floats to earth:

"The Genesis probe is a week away from the dramatic conclusion to its mission: returning to Earth a sample of the solar wind, particles from the Sun."

They're using Hollywood stunt pilots in helicopters to snag the chute with a hook.

The question isn't how they're going to catch them in mid-air, its how they're going to contain them. Something tells me they're going to have a bit of trouble catching and holding muons. (sp?) The only way you can actually see them (without any gadgetry) is to close your eyes.

That's what I say, when I'm lucky enough to catch a Major League ball game, and see an outfielder head for an impossible ball just to see him snag it in mid air! :o
Maybe they have one (outfielder) in the helo? :)
