There are a ton of them on ZDNet ... complete with reviews. I went through quite a few of them until I found one I liked so it will take some time to find one. Don't remember which one it was , I use Outlook now.

Ok, so how do I get it into the system tray and off the taskbar? And will it play nice with memory and not leak it all over the place?

Yeah, I looked at that, but its a work in progress, so unless some people here have some REALLLLLLY good things to say about it I'll hold off.

There's these things called wall calendars. They don't have flashy system tray icons or automatic notification, but they do have cool pictures, and you can even use a pen on them! :P

Yeah, and you have to hang them up with these things called nails, which are forbidden by my residence hall contract.

Seriously, I'm just looking for a program I can access from the tray, write quick reminders to myself that pop up at me, and never have to worry weather its leaking system memory.

you would always use adheasive hooks. or get an agenda.

You are not important enough not to try Sunbird. Software not being Works-in-progress is only true for software thats not being maintained.

If not, there is always DateManager.

I just started using Sunbird, it looks like it can do a lot, email alarms etc.
It's pretty complete and user friendly for a work in progress.
Sorry, I never used a software calender before so I can't compare it to anything.

I will say it's more sophisticated than the Rigid Tools calender I used to use, but it doesn't have the chicks in bikini's holding big tools :(

But the price is right...free!
