Uninstalling Mozilla 1.6

Just recently installed Firefox and don't really need mozilla 1.6 hanging around on my HD. However, if I uninstall mozilla, will that take mozilla mail with it or will mozilla mail stay?
If so...
Should I install thunderbird and import my settings from mozilla mail then uninstall it and everything would be as it was before just with the new programs?
Also, since I imported my mozilla settings to firefox, firefox should retain those settings when mozilla 1.6 is gone correct?
Was just wondering.

Uninstalling Mozilla will get rid of Mozilla, Mozilla Mail, Composer, Chatzilla, etc.
Thunderbird cannot import mail or settings from Mozilla Mail for some reason. You have to re-create the accounts by hand and then copy all the files/folders from C:\Program Files\Mozilla.org\[can't remember the exact path] over to their respective place in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird .
Yes, Firefox's settings will stay intact after you uninstall Mozilla.

Odd, the latest Thunderbird imported my accounts and settings and address book and stuff fine it seems. Even all the emails I had received up until that point. So, it should be safe to uninstall Mozilla I'd imagine.

hrm...Thunderbird didn't do quite as well as it first seemed. Oh well, I fixed it.

Actually, all thats stored in:
C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR PROFILE\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\default\hash number here\Mail
Thats if you're using 2k and above. For 9x, I think its under a similar path, but Application Data is stored in the Windows dir IIRC. (Its been atleast 5 years since I've actively used 9x so I don't remember.)
