I will dload and install simply because I wanna see the pretty chiz on my cards. But ... I don't trust that this is a fair benchmark since they cheated for nVidia with 03.

Looks like that right now ATi is cheating. 15% jump from 4.9 to 4.11 drivers and some strange CPU dependencies where none should be.. We'll see.

Futuremark keeps on getting cheaper and cheaper. It has all these buttons, and as soon as you push em it says "you cant do this, pay us money now or go f$%k yourself".

Probably need Pixel Shader 7.0 just to run all but the first, likely shitty, benchmark.

And don't you have to buy the Pro version for the free 500 mark bonus?

Just for shits and giggles, I was going to try to run 3DMark 2005 on my crappy laptop, just to see how deep in the single digit range I'd get. I should have checked the minimum requirements before starting the download, but I was doing it on a lark, so it didn't surprise me when the benchmark wouldn't run.
Now, what did surprise me was when I dug up an old PC Gamer demo disk with 3DMark 2000 on it, I couldn't get that one to run either. That served as a nice, handy reminder why I have a job this year...
