I know this is a lame question but I have been looking for quite some time for a good looking case and I can't seem to find one I like.

This is the only one I have come accross that I sorta like but it has a door which I DONâ??T want.

I want a case without a door, something that looks simple and professional and has some sort cool light in the front. I don't want a black case either. Basically like the case from the above link. Just without the door.


Any Ideas?

i have been impressed by the value and quality of Antec cases. very well built, nice finish. the only thing it doesn't have is a light in the front, and the $$$ you save with the case should help finance your own customized light.

noise with these and the dust filters are very useful for me cos i live in a dusty area, the paint maybe a little soft but i could get them refinished sometime. with the two 120mm fans going at full speed (2500 rpm) i get a case temp drop of about 8-12c

I have this case. It's super quiet, roomy as hell, totally toolless, has a removable mobo tray, fancy lights, 120mm fans, locking cover, all the bells and whistles. I have to say I'm really pleased with it. One of the things I really like was the fact that it hides the CD and floppy drives without the use of a door. (I also dont like doors that much) I have all beige drives in it so the way the drives are masked were a major deciding factor for me.

The only drawback is the esthetics. I mean it's kinda cool looking, but also very James Bond looking with the chrome bezel and all. Next machine I build will be in a Lian Li.

Can somebody explain what "Fan Speed controller" exactly refers to? Where is it? And what fans could I control with it?

The three settings adjust the RPM of the two front case fans. It is located under the front bezel.

Ah thanks. Is it hardwired? Or could I plug something else into it?

When I get back home in a few hours I'll tear open the case and take a pic of the inside.

I seem to recall being able to plug other stuff into it, 'cause I replaced the fans with the Panaflos in the pic there.

it uses 2 x 3-pin connectors that are common on fans. You can plug other things, like Fans into it. But to use it for CCFL kits or other things is probably not a good idea. If you try to plug something into it that requires more power then the two fans it was made for you run the risk of it catching on fire
