Winter Tires?

What are good winter tires? I want to buy some as I've never driven in snow and being a new driver I don't want to drive on 4 season tires.
I have a 94 Camry if that helps.
Thanks

Blizzaks are the best Merl, however they are softer compound tires and as such will wear quickly if driven at times other than winter....

I wish I could get Deuler A/T Revo tires for my Corolla... man that would be sweet.
Got a set on my Rav and on my company van. I love these tires.
But yes, I hear good things about Blizzaks. This website has some nice tire comparisons:

I just got Goodyear Assurance Tires, they are really really good in dry and wet conditions, haven't had time to try them in the snow/sleet/ice yet.

Zero,
I have FZ4's on my car now and I'm disappointed. They have terrible wet weather traction and roll too much for me on dry pavement. I would be fine with them if they did one or the other really well, but they don't. I replaced my Dunlop SP8000's with these pieces of junk only because Dunlop no longer makes the SP8000 and everyone told me how good the FZ4's are. For a Z rated tire they sure have sloppy sidewalls. They howl in corners like a dog with a rubber-band around his nutz. The compound seems to stick well enough but again, the side wall rolls too much.
If you've got the cash, grab a set of Potenza S0-2's, the wear is aweful but they stick like bubblegum on a hot summer day.
[edit] I've had them on my car for a month now and I'm already in the market for new tires. Less than 500 miles on them. If you're interested I'll let 'em go cheap.
225-50-16's..

Well after finding a Bridgestone dealer, the tires will cost me $132 each installed and balanced.

Just bought and had the Bridgestone Blizzaks installed this AM after gettng about 20cm of snow in the last 24 hrs and getting more until Monday.
All I can say is WOW. What a difference these tires make. From the moment I drove out of the lot, I could feel the traction and stopping power. Well worth the $600 CDN I paid.

Told ya they would be an awesome choice---expensive tho ...so make sure you remove 'em in the spring as the softer compound tires will wear quickly on dry pavement.
