well I got my pc not too long ago now, like 2 and half weeks to 3 weeks ago. Anyway, whenever I go to Start, Shutdown, the little load icon appears, and loads nothing for 3 minutes. after that,it says saving your personal settings, and at the part where it says "windows is shutting down," it stays there for another 3 minutes, then finally shuts down. anyone have an idea why this is happening?

I have found that network settings/connections can cause slow startups/shutdowns.

you made a change to your settings to clear your internet cache and paging file on shutdown, remove that setting and all will back to normal.
If you select an option in windows, know what it does before hand.. OKTHXBYE

Well since Ace does not know, no surprise there....
Javed, PM me with what program you used to make the change. I can just give you the key in the registry for it and change it from a 1 to a 0

Do a Google search for X-teq setup. Its a nifty program that allows you to change behind-the-scenes settings in Windows, including the changes you have made, and many more to make it more efficient.

Guys, if he's been a Mac user for 9 years, chances are he simply screwed around with some checkboxes and messed something up.
