D3 Minimizing?

I don't know what it is with my computer, but it minimizes D3 whenever it hits a resolution change in the game. An example would be when the main menu goes to a FMV, or from the mission description to the loading screen. This happens with many other older games I have as well. Have any of you had the same problem?
I've got Win2K, Radeon 9700 pro (up to date drivers for it), and a KDS xflat xf9e monitor with the latest driver as well..

What happens when you ALT-TAB in the game? Does it minimise and maximise correctly? Do any other 3D apps/games behave similarly?
Tried installing an older graphics driver?
It's a very odd issue you have there!

Yes, many other older games (and some new ones) do exactly the same thing. In order to prevent it from minimizing, I have to click rapidly on the screen. This has happened ever since I first got my video card, and I think it was the Catalyst 1.6 drivers back then.

I think it's something you have running in the background that is stealing focus from D3 so it minimizes it. Try closing all programs not needed using CTRL+ALT+DEL and selecting the PROCESS tab.

I closed all the programs I could and it fixed it. Thanks! Now I just need to figure out which one is doing it...
Now that I know what it is, it should be easy to figure out. Again, thank you.

I think you might find it's Norton AntiVirus - if you have it!

I have Norton and it doesn't do it to me.

More than likely its adware/spyware doing it.
Adaware SE
Spybot Search & Destroy
Run BOTH of them since one will find some things that the other wont, and vice versa.
edit: If that doesn't fix your problem, post a
Hijack THIS! log and I'll see what I can do.

No spyware or adware - it was my keyboard software. There's several media buttons on the top, and for them to work it has to have the software running. No big deal to shut it off, I never use them anyway. Again, thanks!
