Didn't know where to post this as it's a bit to serious for the cafe. I wonder if these shock tactics work? There's some really scary adverts about safe driving about at the moment where they show the results of RTA's, i commend the motives but somtimes it's a bit much for a tea time stomoch.

I'm all for showing the real world results of bad decisions to the young people who are not smart enough or need some incentive to control their impulses and go against the peer pressure they face.
I don't want to see the bus drive by with a full color graphic sign of mangled bodies in drunk driving accidents on the side, there has to be some restraint in where that kind of thing is placed but before and after pics of crack heads and the like should be out there for all to see.

At my School, they have a smashed up car sitting in the parking lot that two senior boys died in. Lots of kids look at it every day. It helps to see what could be you up close.

There are more than just those pics. There are like 8 in all. she had actually gotten away from drugs for a while .. several years. they she bottomed out being arrested 4 or 5 times in the last year when she was detained.

the cop i was talking to said she was a crack addict. this was the cop at the highschool at where my daughter attends.

heroin does NOT do that to your body. coke on the other hand... yeah. (my god, she looks like she's had a hard life)
i'd take a guess that IF this woman was on heroin, she was on a lot more than JUST heroin.
heroin is a very safe drug, you can take it as a pure substance regularly your entire life and be no worse for wear.

what's amazing about coke is that it is actually not physically addictive, believe it or not. it just gives you such a buzz that the weak minded crave for it again and again afterwards. but it's pretty crap stuff really. you can never really get that high on it, it's always just outof reach like a siren's song. you'll piss your life away chasing after that unattainable high.
