Heh. You'd be amazed at the number of Texans who'd agree with you.

That's part of the reason why I said that, Pebkac :P

Even better. If it ever comes to pass, you should consider moving here and running for President. :D

So much hate from the left.

It's close between California and Texas... but I'd say Texas because it was always meant to be part of Mexico anyway. ;)

Why the hell should Washington DC leave?

Well, duh. So all those politicians call rule their own piece of heaven, and we can get back to business.

Anyone know why Washington DC was 90% in favour of Kerry? That's a -huge- margin...

Cause they know what Bush is really like? Or is it becuase those who actually LIVE in DC are mostly lower income urban Democrats.

Because they are the most out of touch collection of elitist windbags on the planet! They make Hollywood celebrities seem almost like average Joe's.

Who knows what motivates the minds of people who would re-elect a crackhead for mayor.

Well, Cali's hanging on by a thread, maybe you can organize a state-wide "Jump Up and Down in Unison Day." You guys may just be able to break it on off. :D

Removed from the Union? Blasphemy.

I'm with Senator Elect Obama (D) from Illinois in citing American tradition. I believe in the Loyal Opposition. We are one people. You don't throw your brother out of your house just because he doesn't like your favorite flavor of ice cream.

California. Definitely. Maybe we can join Quebec and make a new country. We'll need a big bridge.

It's serious to me. If Bush wouldn't attack and destroy us, I would peacefully secede.

Do the legislators in Washington D.C. vote there or in their home state? I thought D.C. was pretty much a low income urban area and all the legislative workers lived in Maryland or somwhere.

Birds, you CAN peacefully secede. It's called emigration. :)

Bird, you may be prophetic. You got a highly popular republican for govenor and with a 55/45 split in the presidential vote it won't be long before CA becomes a red state.

If CA was gonna leave, I'd probably move there. I'd rather have Ahhnold for a (presumeably thats what theyd call it) President than Bush.

Hell, ammend the constitution and I'd prolly vote for Ahhnold. Hes way more moderate than Bush.
