FL, OH, MI, WI, CO, NM, and AZ will get Bush a 2nd term, along with the states already accounted for.

Ohio is not reported and Pa will make a difference too.

Ohio has kinda been dubed the keystone and I don't expect them to report it until all the polls are closed. Oregon's just close 5 minutes ago here.

ohio is gonna be bush. how do i know? because i've lived here my whole life and republican always wins. that, and all the local polls show bush ahead by about 15-20%. i doubt that will change by the time all the votes are counted.

PA's already going to go to kerry. It's really up to FL and OH to decide this one, and as of right now CNN is reporting both are 52% bush. Doesn't look good for the anti-bush crowd.

Florida shows a current 321,000 vote lead for Bush, and it's 97% finished.

NBC and FOX have been calling Ohio to Bush for several hours now; it's odd that none of the other networks have.

A Democrat wrote:The Kerry Campaign says they think they won Ohio. John Kerry isn't conceding. Neither am I. And neither should you.

This is Florida 2000 all over again. But they're not going to steal it this time. No ★■◆●ing way.

CNN says there are 600,000 ballots still to be counted in Ohio. Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell says it could take 11 days to count them. The entire political and media establishment is going to Ohio.

This is it, people. The moment of truth. This time, I am not going to sit here in my comfy house and watch this on TV. This time, I'm not going to sit back and watch a bunch of Republican congressional staffers in button-down shirts and loafers shut down the process. ★■◆● that.

I have a tent. I've got my health. I've got a car. Now that the campaign is over, I've got a shitload of free time. I have a website that gets tens of thousands of people every day.

I am going to Ohio.

Who is with me?
Fun fun fun.

I don't see what the big deal is. Oh no, we won't know who will be the next president in time for the next 5 minute sound bite about the future of the nation on TV. A week and a half is nothing given 4 years of leadership.

Whoever wins, at least let them know that them, and us, know that they won it fair and square. I say let them count the ballots.

Kerry's conceded, but Bush hasn't claimed victory, so it's still temporarily up in the air, just in case Kerry changes his mind.

But hey, it's a step in the right direction. ;)

The fat lady?

Inaguration day. ;)

Seriously, when they start counting the ballots from overseas from all those soldiers, its only going to widen Bush's margin of lead. There is no way it can be turned around now, especially with Iowa and I think New Mexico slated for Bush. Dont be such a sore looser. Everyone else is taking it fine.

I think CNN was being super conservative about calling states after they got egg on their face in the last election when they incorrectly predicted Florida. When the focus fell on Ohio to decide the election, CNN didn't want to call it one way only to find out it would be much closer.

Fortunately, it wasn't, and we know who the leader is going to be for the next four years already rather than a month from now.

Problem is, in light of MSNBC and Fox, CNN's holding out looked like partisan stubborness more than anything. The deal is, Kerry never led last night once the polls were closed. Regardless of it being 51%-48%, if it remains constant the entire night, it's not like three million magical votes will appear to change the trend.

did you guys listen to the speech kerry made? i was surprised. it was a very good speech, he basically said gg and conceded that bush was the better man. edwards on the other hand took shots at black people and was really really bitter. i wouldnt be surprised if he's finished in politics.

they played the speeches on the talk radio station here and after edwards was done there were, what the dj said, 7,000+ phone calls between them and their sister station. the first 6 were about edwards racial comment and after that he got frustrated and stopped answering the phone. hahah.

Dude! serious?

i totally missed it as I was at work. Some folks said it was a good speech, but no one said anything about edwards. That really surprises me. Kerry is a professional, appearantly Eddy is not. :\

i didnt hear the speech either, all i heard was the callers calling into the station to "voice their opinion" (★■◆● and moan) about edwards racist comment. i'm not even exactly sure what he said, nobody seemed willing to repeat it on the radio. from what i could gather it was something about how the economy is so bad because so many lazy black people collect welfare and the president does nothing about it. :O

i dont think he actually used those words but from the calls i heard it was definately implying that.

He's done, Kerry still has his position as Senator, Edwards however didn't run for re-election because he knew the people of N.C. were not going to vote for him. He basically bought his way into the Senate and never showed up for work, he was running for president from the minute he got there.
He was a one hit wonder who will now go back to chasing ambulances and probably make a terrible showing in 2008. He'll be the perfect dummy for Hillary to beat in the primary.
