She is far from being stupid Ice'. There's a hell of a lot of money swirling around in the hinterland to this story.

On the one hand Sufa wants Arafat alive so she can continue recieving money (or indeed, even controlling the account)hence her statements. The PLO officials are going to go and see for themselves as to the state of Arafats health, after all for all we know the french, much like the oil for food scandel, may be recieving kick back money from Arafats account and thus want to maintain the illusion of Arafats health.

Screw it, pull the plug already. The sooner the better.
