there's another one for Quicktime too, called Quicktime alternative, they are both made by the same ppl, and both codecs run through the "mediaplayer classic" program (that is included).

media player classic is also handy for playing OGMs or MKV files, or many other formats that arent quite mainstream.

I tried both Alternatives, and they were both really choppy and sloppy, and pixellated. (2ghz machine)

Don't remember what build that was, when was the latest release?

seems something is wrong on your end testi, for me it plays just the same as if real and quicktime themselves were playing it. it'd be a good idea to download it and install it irrespective of the version. a reinstall may fix your screwyness, and the likely possibility of the updated version will no doubt help.

I use it, I love it. You can even load subtitles & stuff! (they're just text files with the subtitles and time in the movie they're shown) which is pretty nifty for them FOREN movies.

RealPlayer is no longer suckware: and is actually quite good. It's a great standalone streamer.

/me uses Zoom player now. :)

oops and TDK's player for CD's and MP3's

IMO Mob, realplayer is just this side of a virus. It infects every part of your system and is impossible to get rid of completely. I doubt I'll ever install it again.
