So here we go again. I keep hearing how the terrorism is not about religion yet we now have approval by muslum religious cleric to eradicate us by the use of nukes:

Osama bin Laden now has religious approval to use a nuclear device against Americans, says the former head of the CIA unit charged with tracking down the Saudi terrorist. The former agent, Michael Scheuer, speaks to Steve Kroft in his first television interview without disguise to be broadcast on 60 MINUTES Sunday, Nov. 14 (7:00-8:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

If you take the time to fully read the link, you may wind up interested to watch 60 minutes tomorrow:

Now what can these oh so religious clerics hope to gain? well the following may give a indication of the back lash effect:

There have been more than 20 incidents of fires or vandalism at Muslim buildings since the murder of the controversial filmmaker Theo van Gogh.

So lets suppose bin Laden et al succeeds in popping a N-cap (thats exploding a nuke to you liberal neophytes who don't know the linga fraca). How many here think the politically correct philosphy of teaching our impressionable young'ns that Islam is really a religion of peace will continue unabated? Or that the shooting of peaceful loving middle eastern types will only be done by neo nazis skin heads? I hope that those muslums living here know what the term "dropping a dime" means because the alternative will teach them that they wish they did..

Disclaimer: For you federal agency types this is no advocation of violence towards american muslums. Just a bit of thoughtful suppostion on my part. ;)

Hillary Clinton wrote:...but the fact is that...
It almost seems like this is to Democrats what "clearly" and "obviously" is to TV reporters. :P That is an abused phrase with the left; I don't like it.
Hillary Clinton wrote:She believes Bush is beatable next year because his administration is "making America less free, fair, strong, smart than it deserves to be in a dangerous world."

"We have to change direction before irreparable harm is done," she adds.

"This administration is in danger of being the first in American history to leave our nation worse off than when they found it."
Less strong? Quite the opposite. The rest is fear mongering, based only on their strong disagreement with the President's policies, in my opinion.

Why would it not continue (other than the fact you obviuosly dont like the idea) Islam is just as peaceful as Christendom. As to reprisal attacks, anyone who is stupid enough to blame an entire religion for the actions of a few whackos needs to be removed from the gene pool.
There have been tens of thousands of muslims massacred in recent years by christians (the balkans for example). Does that mean it is ok for muslims here to start attacking churchs or christians? Which ever way you look at it 2 wrongs dont make a right. As a side note there have also been tens of thousands of christians massacred by muslims (north and west Africa) [sarcasm] but they are poor and black so we dont have to worry about them. No reprisal attacks needed apparently.[/sarcasm]

I think you mean 'lingua franca'. I guess someone needs to teach you the lingua franca of using latin in your posts. :D

I guess I hear what you're saying, but I actually don't see a point to this debate. Islam = terrorism vs. Islam = "just another religion"... who cares? I mean, if all Islam amounts to is a doctrine for terrorism, then what do you propose doing about it? Starting a holy war?

The battle against terrorism is already on. I fail to see the benefit of trying to net ourselves more enemies from what we hope are Islamic moderates! Jesus! :D
