Direct3D Issue

Alright, I just installed D3 on my new AMD 64 3000+ computer with a Radeon 9600 using XP. When I start Descent, all the menus are screwed up like they were smashed and also some textures are mixed up. Then when I play the game, right underneith the reticle, there is a concussion missle texture and reticle itself is smashed again.

Now, when I use OpenGL, all these problems disappear. I just don't want to use OpenGL because of the wiggly walls. ...and more importantly, I want to use 32 bit but when I try to on OpenGL, mostly everything goes black.

Got any tips?

D3D in D3 sucks. Stick wih openGL
32 bit doens't work in D3. Turn Vsynch off and the wiggles might disappear.
