That's why I bought my copy. The game is well worth it. Shame Doom 3 wasn't as good.

And does it work? XP has a similar activation measure and it's been the most widely pirated version of Windows yet! As far as I can tell, it's just inconviencing the people who actually buy the products. I'm not saying get rid of copy potection like CD-Keys, but this activation ★■◆● is just gay.
Well, that and the morons who use a single CD key 20,000 times over.

It's quite simple. You release a CD with a code generator for the program on it. You require a CD key to use the code generator. You require another code generation to access the CD key. You demand a CD key to access the code generator to access the first CD key to access the code generator for the program. Continue ad infinitum.
The ultimate in unhackable software!

STEAM is TEH GAY.
Firstly, I like to have control over where my software installed - and inside the STEAM folder is NOT where I want it. Also, I want to launch the single player game without &^%^%$^&% Steam.
It's totally lame.
If I had paid money for it, I'd be very upset.
As it was, I got a DL voucher from a 9600XT.

Alas... its not your software, its valve's. HL2 uses a fair number of resources common with other games and mods availible and soon to be availible via steam. You should actually look around the steam folder first, but you are Mobi.
But, as long as you got an internet connection, you can play your games anywhere in the world.

We could do that before steam...
