get that 1.5 patch. We have a large group that plays nightly
and many play durring the day.

My son and I are Vacationing in FLA until Dec. 3rd. No D3 on this machine means no flyin til I get back home. 
As for the 1.5 patch, where do I get it.

I did what you said about 1.5, but when I goto gamespy and click on a 1.5 game I know I have, it starts d3. Then when it comes up to my pilot name, I push return and it just sits there.
If I do it for a non 1.5 like roadkills subway, it goes right in.
How do I know that the 1.5 game is connecting to 1.5 and not my old 1.4 descent program

No need for Betinna to do that. It sounds like she just needs to configure the gamespy interface to target the new 1.5 main.exe for Descent 3. Look for gamespy's Descent3 settings, Bettina. Be sure to switch it back when you want to play in a regular 1.4 server.
Example:
"C:\Games\Descent3\MAIN.EXE"
to
"C:\Games\Descent3_15\MAIN.EXE"
Ani = Animosity? Hi
Example:
"C:\Games\Descent3\MAIN.EXE"
to
"C:\Games\Descent3_15\MAIN.EXE"

I was wondering about the name. "ani" means "Me" in another language.

1. I have the descent5 folder with the patch configured and gamespy is directed to the new folder and the new main.exe. That part is ok.
2. If I want to play a 1.4 game, I goto gamespy, click on roadkills subway, the D3 pilot screen comes up (I only have one name) I push enter, it says "connecting" and subway starts as it normally does only now with the 1.5 main.exe. That works.
3. I do the same thing to a 1.5 game, it goes to the pilot screen, I push enter, it says "connecting" and after awhile it goes to the d3 splash screen {where you can select new or multi etc) and just sits there.
Do I need to download a mod or something?
Do I need to keep the 1.4 folder?

EDIT.....In fact I'm using 1.5 now for all my games and they all work except the 1.5 ones.
