Well talk is starting to circulate suggesting that Kofi Anon should be voted out as head of the U.N.
What I never knew was Kofi was the head of the U.N. peace keeping forces. During Kofi's tenure as head peace keeper, he made the decision to pull U.N. troops out of Rwanda and thus set the stage for the slaughter of 800,000 people. While the newsies focus on the death of a few thousand Iraqi citizens as a terrible matter, from what I can remember during the Hutu population control program Kofi's name didn't come up too many time as having a blame.
So now as head of the UN, Kofi seems to again escape a prison type expose regarding the Oil for Food diversion of funds. Even though his own son has been caught with arab crude on his fingers I don't see a string of reporters asking repeated question about National Guard.....er where, when and how much. Are we expected to believe the father was not privy to what his son was doing? Wasn't it a little suspicious about the new house in Monte Carlo? With someone like Kofi in charge, is it any wonder the UN is viewed as being irrelevant?

Most don't view the UN as irrelevant. Bloated, corrupt, and politically constipated yes, but not irrelevant. The UN is were nations talk. Talking seems like a waste to some but without a place to feel each other out and see who is really aligned with who there would be even more conflict than we have now.

I don't buy that for one second.

I agree with Try. Seems to me the UN boils down to a lot of self-serving a**holes with their hand out. And we wind up paying for most of it.

I believe the UN would keel over and die if we pulled out. Anyway, anyone hear the rumor that Bill Clinton may very possibly be stepping up to maybe be voted in to replace Kofi Annon?

If that were true, and as much as I really didn't like Clinton while he was president, I would jump for joy. At least Clinton has a brain that works; Kofi's is nothing but fluff, it seems.

If something drastic isn't done and real soon ... more than just replacing the tops ... I will fully support the complete withdrawl of the U.S. from the U.N.
