For those of you who have decided to download the 1.5 patch, now you can actually play Olympia Gold 3! We kinda deserve the ridicule for designing for the 1.5 patch, but now that it's available (legitimacy debates aside) OG3 is now playable.

I thought OG3 never worked because it desintigrated into a furball every time and no racing took place?

I did try running it once on an install of 1.5, but I received nothing but main.exe errors.

I got mine. Any servers out there to try this thing out.

Going to have to try it when I can get Descent 3 reinstalled. Low hard drive space sucks.

I'd host this if it worked for 1.5 and Hunters tool

Wow. And I was just thinking about reinstalling d3 and getting some resource files from og3. This will be all swell if someone could tell me if there is any way i can link up my joystick with its regular adapter to a usb port.

Hi DW! are you talking about "-directinput" command or do you want to knwo if there are gameport->USB adapters? there are! It needs to be an active one with some buttons / a switcher on it. I saw one of them recently (in germany). cheers...

Its the latter Checker. I have a laptop with only USB ports basically. I actually configured my controls with the keyboard and mouse for D3 to act comfortably for a normal FPS but I'll need that joystick when I'm in intense multiplayer combat I'll look around for such products

Sickone bought his USB adaptor from radioshack. He had to modify one of the resistors because the hat switch was unresponsive. If I recall correctly
