Well worth the read. No maths involved (skip those bits). Explains why the USA needs to get to the moon, and monopolise the He3 market.

THREELIUM!

Seriously though, it's an awesome idea. I'm always down for exploiting other sources of energy, especially the ones that will have no real impact on our home soil. Only thing that I'd be worried about is the impact it would have on the moon. But if God wanted us to live on the moon, he wouldn't have made us have to breathe.

That is just Religious brainwashing combined with double talking jive. So why dont you apply that to all the aspects of your life Sting_Ray...

But if God wanted us to drive automobiles on the street, he wouldn't have made us have to walk on two feet.

With your head in the dirt logic you need to get rid of your pimp mobile! Image

Not that it belongs in this thread. As far as Science vs Religion goes there is only one item that links the two
If my science will lead to my destruction do I believe in god. that's it folks..

So try not to attempt to combine it anymore! KTHXBYE

So does this mean the US will leech all the money it can out of the moon?

To be honest, no offence to all you guys (because I have loads of friends in the US, and I like the place) but all this moon stuff looks to me like it is an effort to make the moon a second US, owned by the first.

*waits in fear*

Ah, the glories of living in another country. I can watch a base being established on the moon and not have to pay for it.

Of course, there are probably more worthwhile things do to with the money, but I hear so much griping about that facet of space exploration that I'd rather "waste" it anyway.

everyone thinks money is wasted on space travel. It all goes into the U.S. Economy

The moon already belongs to America.
