This is why I love riding:
"He didn't know what he hit. He said 'I didn't know. I hit some debris.' I said, 'Debris? But the guy was on your hood yelling at (your) windshield to stop,'" said witness Thomas Thibert.
"I didn't see a guy on my hood," said the driver, Scott Eisenberg. "If I saw a guy on my hood I would have stopped right there. I simply thought I ran over something."

Personally, I have seen a woman violate the right of way of a turning motorcycle. He crashed into the left rear just ahead of the rear wheels. Somehow, his bike bounced off, and he ended up lying under the car, with one arm sticking out.
The woman started the car again, drove over the riders arm (breaking it in 2 places) while he was screaming his head off.
His helmet caught under the axle of the car and he was dragged across the rest of the intersection with his lower body poking out from under the car.
Fortunately, the woman stopped on the side of the road, and got out - and walked around the car. The guy was screaming the whole time. She didn't see him or hear him. Didn't see the wrecked motorbike in the middle of the intersection.
I had leapt off my bike (A Kwaka GPZ 750 at the time) and ran over to the car just as she was inspecting the 3rd tyre. I asked her what the bloody hell she thought she was doing.
Her reply? "Oh, I think I have a flat tyre."
I was busy talking to the guy under the car and telling him not to move, while yelling at the woman not to drive away because she'd driven over a man, and dragged him across the street.
Her reaction? "Oh a motorcyclist." Nothing more. Like we were not worth reversing over to finish off...
I got a bystander to call the cops, and told her she was going to get a pretty nasty fine, and would probably lose her licence. She was like "But - what FOR?"
OMFG.
I had my thrid bad bike crash about 6 months later and retired from riding bikes on the open road. Fortunately, I saw it coming and jumped clean over the car which was trying to kill me...
