I help kill off a Darwin award canadet

Post by Warlock »

well the semi did all the work I just help out.

Sat night I was driving on loop 250 (its a rode that goes all the way around town and connects to different points of I-20 hint the name loop 250) and its 60mhp all the way around it no stopping at all, well there's spot of it where the college airport is and we cause that the dark zone cause there is no lights on the loop at all there.

Well I was driving home and I pass up a semi cause he was doing 50 well next thang I know I see someone running across the rode and before I could even hit my brakes I clip him on my front right side knocking him in to the other lane and he got ran over by the semi.

well come to find out he person I clip was a 17 yeah old kid and he had black pants and a black hoodie on and he was pretty much tripping on acid.

but I hate to say this but I help out on killing off a stupid person, but im piss off though cause it cost me $273 for a new headlight bracket

edit : some of yall think i did a hit and run No i did not. i had to fill out and accident report and every thang.

Brilliant: "I got an idea! Let's dress in black and run around on dark busy highways at night. YEAH THAT WILL BE FUN!"

I bet this would make a good "this is your brain ---> this is your brain on drugs" ad. Because if trucks do the same thing to people that they do to deer, they must be picking that guy up with a sponge and q-tips right?

If you really killed someone, even accidentally and it was all his fault, I'm shocked you don't feel any negative emotions aside from "he's a dumbass."

I'm with genghis on this. Idiot or not you were still involved in a killing and though you didn't deal the death blow, I think you are a sad human being for acting the way you are about it all.

1) everyone's done something stupid at 17
2) aren't you in legal trouble for this?
3) aren't you in some kind of shock about being involved in a death? If so, is that why you spell like that?

I was really worried about this DBB in general when I saw the first replies were all "LOL WHAT A DUMBASS YOU KILLED HIM!"

I'm glad people like genghis and stress posted.

As a general note, I'm not a fan of 90% of Darwin awards; most of them are things that could happen to anyone, but someone gets unlucky (wrong place, wrong time) and gets killed for it, and then gets laughed at. Yippee!

Warlock, you are one twisted, sad, sick person who desperately needs a shrink and an English tutor.

Dyslexia or no - you gotta invest some SERIOUS time on English, and your attitude to fellow humans - regardless of their mental capacity.

Hell, for all you know, the guy might have been mugged or suffering some head injury which stopped him from acting like a normal human being.

There's a LOT of reason's - apart from being a dumb-dead-bastage - that someone could end up in his situation. I hope it never happens to you, despite the fact you (effectively) killed a person, and the fact you perpetually murder our language.

Please get help. Soon.

Dude, if that story is true, you were partially responsible for killing someone. I don't care if the guy was tripping or not, you are not some kind of God that gets to laugh in the face of someone else's misfortune and take part in their execution - willing or not. If I were in that situation, I don't know how the heck I could live with myself. It would haunt me until the day I died. I would obsess and dream about the guy getting smashed again and again. I would live in horror. That you would sit here, brag about it, then whine about a paltry $273 is extremely disturbing. Hah. A great inconvenience, indeed. You need a psychologist, dude, unless you have some fiendishly weird way of coping with extraordinary problems. At the very least you could show some compassion or sympathy.

Think of what the trucker must be going through...

i have no intention of making the man guilty of this event, its just that he came here with no remorse, no feelings, hell no sadness at all about the death of a person.......of which he did not have any control, but making the title of this topic what he chose to make it is TOTALY uncalled for.

the person did act stupid by wearing all dark, but still, "bragging" about it here by naming that person a "Darwin Canidate" is by far a very dis-respectful thing.

Thank you. I think some people are over reacting a bit. It wasn't Warlocks's fault the kid got hopped up on drugs and dressed all in black running out into an interstate with traffic moving @ 60MPH.

While loss of life is unfortunate, it is pretty pathetic to beat yourself up for something you had absolutely no control over, death or not. Some people are more sensitive to this and would have nightmares, some would not. It does not entail a person needing to see a shrink because they aren't scarred for life from an experience such as this.

As much driving as I do and as much fucked up ★■◆● I see on the interstates everyday, it is no wonder how some people are so desensitized when something like this happens. But meh, this is an Internet BB and I waste time posting this.

If the dead kid was playing russian roulette with cars on a highway then there is nothing wrong with being a little pissed off at him.
If Warlock had seen the kid in time he may have swerved the wrong way and ended up under the wheels of the truck himself!

it took 8 posts before someone verbally expressed their remorse over the kid's death (initially i figured that the incident had left Warlock detatched, in shock).

this has been one of those times when this bulletin board is rather frightening.

no-one is pointing blame at Warlock, that's a non-issue. What is frightening to me is that a child died, and ppl are cheering.
Someone tells that child's parents and friends that he's dead. He's probabaly not even buried yet.

Yea, I was surprised by the undertone in the beginning of this thread. Then the thread about shooting intruders came to mind and how trigger-happy some of you would be.

What I don't understand is; either you value life or you don't. It doesn't depend on trivial things like doing drugs, being stupid or etnicity. Not even breaking the law, in my opinion.

The fact that the poor, defenseless child that was horribly mutilated and crushed under traffic...

Was on drugs, was not wearing safety equipment, was doing arguably one of the dumbest things a human bean can do, and was endangering the lives of the motorists around him...

Has absolutely no bearing on the discussion at hand.

Right.

Seriously, I wouldn't be laughing at the kid; he's probably had a hard life. But still, if you're gonna do dumb stuff like that--stuff that will endanger the lives of those around you as well as yourself--you had better be prepared to take the consequences.

It's sad that a kid died. Yes. I agree. However, it's just one more. After all, most of you are evolutionists; if there's no purpose in life and we're all just a product of some random chemical process, why are we so tripped out over the process of natural selection? Boneheads and those not "fit" to live have been dying out since the beginning of time according to your theory, so what's the big deal about this? It's just one more.

Trichord,

Hitting someone with your car and protecting ones home and family are TWO different things.

I wouldnt hesitate to shoot someone breaking into my house.

I would however try to swerve to miss another person who has wondered into the street.

Warlock, didnt have that luxury, and is probably dealing with it in his own way.

This post did shock me at first as did a lot of the first replies. The guy most likely has a family greiving over his loss, and My thoughts tend to go twords that.
Anyone who has had the experience of seeing someone die, goes through some post tragedy depression of some sort and deal with it in their own way, so I'll refrain from judging or remarking about the replies I don't agree with.

Can you or any of the rest of you here be proud of him when he comes in here bragging about how he aided in doing the world a favor by killing someone? Give me a fing break....

Warlock, if you didn't stop and go back to the scene and talk to the police I strongly suggest that you give them a call. You could be easily be convicted for being part of a hit and run. Also, Stressy has it about right, I could care less what you've been through- about all you're doing by posting about it here with that attitude is convicting yourself of assisting in unintentional manslaughter. Sorry, but the attitude only alienizes society.

Alot of you guys are trying to absolve Warlock of all responsibility- well, the law won't agree. No one is going to blame him for hitting a kid, but you better believe he'll get nailed by the law for leaving the scene of the accident, if he did. All I have to say is I hope you stuck around and talked to the police Warlock. It's a terrible thing that someone died. The fact that Warlack was a part of that automatically imparts him with a certain measure of responsibility. Don't blame yourself Warlock, but I hope you did the right thing about it once what was out of your hands happened, because you did have control over that.
