A group of people opposed to the death penalty have killed 26 innocent people to get there point of view across! linkage:

I can't help but think that anything less than a slow, extremely torturous death for these bastards would be an injustice.

It might be a ruse, designed to throw the police off the track of the real perpetrators.
But, if it is who they say it is, these guys are real boneheads. When the Honduran police capture them, hopefully the death penalty will be reinstituted--if only for them. Then we could give them all darwin awards.

The gunmen left behind a note saying they represented a guerrilla group, the Cinchonero People's Liberation Movement, opposed to the reintroduction of the death penalty in Honduras.
However, the group in question has not been active since the 1980s and is thought to be defunct.
The attackers' note also challenged a number of leading politicians who have come out strongly against organised crime - particularly the president of Congress, Porfirio Lobo.
Possibly some idiots used the name of a defunct group without really understanding the goals of that group. But I don't think that should nessessarily exempt them from Will's punishment.
